Durley Dean Hotel

Our second visit, and we can’t thank the team enough. We had a conjoined family room which was the perfect size for us all. They provided a cot for our baby, at no extra cost. They gave us a lovely card & present for our anniversary. The staff remembered us which was even nicer. The breakfast was perfect, so much choice. The pool was the highlight of the stay, we all enjoyed it. Ideal spot of Bournemouth, beach nearby. The hotel called me a day before explaining there was going to be a Christmas party & wanted to pre warn us of any noise, which was kind of the lady but we didn’t hear much so we weren’t phased. Bath was lovely & hot, beds all nice & comfy. Planning our next trip already for 2026.

I was given a gift for a night away with my dog at this hotel. My expectations weren’t high from the reviews but I cannot fault anything. My room was modern and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Josh to brought me breakfast as I couldn’t go to the buffet with my dog. I would highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect. I will definitely come back so thank you.

My family & I stayed at this hotel for the New years Gala break which I must say was amazing the staff were very friendly the food was excellent, the rooms were very clean. The New Year’s Eve party was great the DJ Allen Turner-Ward made the night (thank you Allen) . Once again we had a great time 19 of us thank you the staff at the Durley Dean .

We stayed one night as we attending a Christmas party at the hotel. It’s not The Ritz but for the price paid it was excellent value for money, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was good value. Highly recommend if you want good budget accommodation in Bournemouth- walkable to Durley Chine and free parking on the road nearby.

Just back from a two night stay. This was our third time of staying at the Durley Dean, so we knew what to expect. We took advantage of the winter offer which was very good value. Our room was clean and comfortable. We were looking forward to getting espresso martinis at the bar, as the previous visit we reckoned that they were the best we’d ever had. Unfortunately we were told that they no longer sold them . Once again we had a dinner in the restaurant with our friends. Once again the food and service was excellent. Was a little disappointed to find that the steam room was out of order, but at least the sauna was still working . I do hope that it’s fixed before our next visit. We will be back. Had a great 2 night stay in this hotel with my 11 year old son. The room was really nice, it was spacious and had a modern bathroom. The restaurant was really good value with a lovely English breakfast and the main dinner menu options both generous in portion size and quality. The Gym was fab, with plenty of kit and nice then to relax in the pool and Sauna. The staff were friendly and helpful and I definitely would recommend this hotel to others and I will certainly be back. And.. the WiFi was great throughout the whole hotel even in the basement which was great for my son. The nice part of it as well was that it’s a 5 minute walk if that from the hotel to the beach. With a stay in you’re looking for somewhere in Bournemouth. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel with really lovely staff who are always willing to help. Breakfast is great and convenient. I'd love to name all staff who help but they are ALL so kind and lovely I'd be worried about missing some. Well done Durley Dean, you rock!

We stayed here as part of a line dancing holiday booked through ELD (Everything Line Dance), so our main focus was on the dancing, not so much the hotel. The rooms we were given (2 on the 1st floor - numbers 142 & 150) were great, clean & spacious, we had chairs in both the rooms. The shower was decent, but in both rooms the shower & sink didn't drain very quickly. Some of the towels were also a bit on the thin side! Note - there is a lift, but it is pretty small so expect a bit of a wait on changeover day if you need to use it. The restaurant is lovely, food is good & not at all fancy which perfectly suits my sensitive tummy! Bar & lounge area is comfy & there's another smaller family room if available as well. The dance floor is down some more (slightly tricky) stairs but is a good floor with chairs & tables. There's also a small one in the other function room on the ground floor.
